Find the Linking Verbs #2

Search for linking verbs in this third-grade grammar worksheet! Linking verbs, such as am or were, link the subject to the noun or adjective in a sentence. Students are prompted to find each linking verb in nine different sentences, then put their skills to the test by writing their own sentence using a linking verb.

Through this practice, young readers will be able to understand the purpose and placement of linking verbs. This builds on students’ knowledge about nouns and adjectives, helping to strengthen learners’ reading and writing skills!
