Find the Helping Verbs #2

Practice identifying helping verbs with this engaging grammar worksheet! In part one, writers will circle the helping verb and underline the action verb in each of nine sentences. Then, in part two, students will write their own sentence using the helping verb is and a main verb.

With this practice, third graders will familiarize themselves with the purpose and context of helping verbs. This knowledge can also be helpful as students begin learning about different verb tenses. Additionally, learners will strengthen their reading and writing skills as they practice with different parts of speech!
