Fill in the Blank: Commonly Confused Words #3

Use context clues to decipher the difference between words like dual and duel in this middle-grade worksheet! Students will read each sentence, then review the pair of commonly confused words. Using context clues, readers must determine which of the two words best completes the sentence. Learners are then asked to write a sentence using one of the words they did not select.

This worksheet will help students build their spelling skills alongside their vocabulary. Words with similar spellings or pronunciations can be difficult to grasp, but seeing them in context can reinforce their correct usage.
