Factor Linear Expressions Using Area Models #3

Become an expert in factoring with this seventh-grade algebra worksheet! Students will be asked to use the provided area models to factor each expression. They will write the greatest common factor (GCF) on one side of the model, then write the missing factors on top. Finally, they will recombine the sides of the area model to write the factored form of the expression.

This worksheet is perfect for students learning how to work with algebraic expressions with multiple variables. Factoring is a necessary skill for young mathematicians as they continue to learn more advanced algebra concepts. As they complete this worksheet, learners will also work on their GCF skills and build their number sense.
