Estimating Length: Minerals

Measurements totally rock in this colorful, engaging math worksheet! Students will look at five minerals of different sizes and estimate how long each of them is in centimeters. Then, they can use a ruler to check their estimate by measuring each mineral and recording the actual length. 

This second-grade worksheet is intended to help students get more familiar with the length of a centimeter and practice making length measurements using the metric system.
