Worksheet
Using Election Data
How do you decide which candidate wins an election? Practice reading election data with this data analysis worksheet! Students will use a tally chart showing the results of an election to compare the number of votes each of three candidates received. Then, students will determine who won the election, who came in second place, and who came in last.
This worksheet is a great way to introduce second graders to the election process and give them a basic understanding of how elected officials are chosen. Students will also practice their data analysis, which will be an essential skill not only in math, but also in science and social studies!
