Domino Fun: Doubles Plus Two

Double the numbers equals double the fun! Practice adding with near-doubles in this engaging math worksheet. In each of these six problems, students will be presented with a domino with different numbers of dots on both sides. First, they will write a doubles fact that is close to the numbers on the domino. Then, they’ll add two to find the total number of dots on the domino. 

This worksheet is intended for first and second graders and can help students improve their addition fact fluency and automatically recognize doubles in addition. The dominos also build students’ number sense and encourage subitizing. These skills will be foundational as students tackle more difficult addition in the future.
