Cut and Paste: Sequencing Story Events

Create a creepy creature news story! Aspiring third-grade authors practice writing organization, structure, and sequencing with this activity worksheet.

Students use fine motor skills to cut out strips that each contain one or two sentences. Then, they arrange the strips in sequential order to complete a scary story. On a blank sheet of paper, students paste the strips in order to keep the story together.

Use this offline activity for Halloween-themed writing lessons. Then give students the Make Your Own Scary Story worksheet, so they can write their own creepy legends.
