Worksheet
Composing 3D Shapes: Cut and Paste
Build complex structures out of common three-dimensional shapes in this hands-on worksheet! First, learners will be asked to cut out a set of tiles with three-dimensional shapes on them. They can use these tiles to construct three different structures, pasting the appropriate three-dimensional shapes next to the structures they come together to create.
This worksheet is intended for first and second graders learning basic geometry. Learners can get more familiar with common three-dimensional shapes while working on their logical reasoning and spatial awareness skills. Students can also see how three-dimensional shapes tend to be represented on two-dimensional surfaces.
