Compose 11-19: Ten and Ones #1

Give your young math learner practice composing numbers 11–19 with this helpful addition strategies worksheet. Learners will explore how they can make numbers from 11 to 19 with a 10 and "some more." Using the equation templates provided, students will follow prompts to compose a number from 11–19 by writing 10 and then another number. The first problem is completed as an example and includes numbers that learners can trace. Then students can use the example to help them complete the next three problems on their own!
