Commutative Property of Addition: Match Numbers to Shapes #2

Learn to use the commutative property with three-addend addition expressions! Young mathematicians are asked to match addition expressions represented in numerals to addition expressions represented by shapes. Both expressions have the same numbers, but those numbers are in different orders.

This first-grade worksheet is designed to help students understand that numbers can be added together in any order. An understanding of the commutative property can allow learners to rearrange more difficult addition problems so that they can find the solution more easily. While completing this worksheet, students will also practice their number sense and fact fluency!
