Worksheet
Combine Sentences With Appositives #2
Practice adding information to your sentences by appending appositives to nouns or noun phrases! In this middle school worksheet, learners will first read a brief introduction that tells about nonrestrictive appositive phrases. Then, they’ll be asked to read five pairs of sentences and combine each pair into a single sentence using an appositive phrase.
This worksheet is ideal for sixth through eighth graders who are learning about ways they can combine sentences, write efficiently, and use various sentence structures. The ability to use appositive phrases can give students more tools to add variety and depth to their own writing.
