Worksheet

Color the Parts of an Animal Cell

An animal cell is made up of many different organelles—color them all in this engaging worksheet! Students will read the definition of seven different organelles, such as the cell membrane, nucleus, and mitochondria. Then, using the color key, learners are asked to color in each part of the animal cell diagram.

This worksheet can help sixth, seventh, and eighth graders learn to recognize cell parts based on their structure and function. In identifying the organelles that make up an animal cell, students can build a foundation in the life sciences and begin to understand that a system’s function depends on the unity of its parts.
