Worksheet
Writing a Cinquain Poem
A cinquain is a five-line poem that was invented in the 1900s by American poet Adelaide Crapsey. In this worksheet, children will learn how to write a modern cinquain using a word count format. They will then pen their own cinquain poem, which they can cut out and send to a loved one. Designed for second and third graders, this worksheet is a lovely introduction to cinquains and poetic forms.
