Worksheet

Building 3D Shapes

Assemble block towers out of simple shapes in this colorful geometry worksheet! These four structures are each made up of two or more three-dimensional shapes such as cones, cubes, and cylinders. For each structure, learners will need to identify which of the simple three-dimensional shapes were used.

This worksheet was designed for first and second graders who are beginning to learn about three-dimensional shapes. The ability to recognize different shapes individually and as part of a larger structure can improve students’ spatial reasoning and their ability to identify and describe the shapes in the world around them.
