Worksheet
Box Plots #1
Practice interpreting box plots with this sixth-grade worksheet! Students will read each scenario and review the associated box plot. Learners are then asked to provide the five-number summary (minimum, median, maximum, upper quartile, and lower quartile) as well as the range and the interquartile range. Don’t forget to include units in your answers!
This activity provides great practice interpreting box plots. Students must learn to read and understand different types of charts and graphs as they dive deeper into statistics and data reporting. As learners become familiar with different graphs, they can even begin to create their own!
