Book or Character Mind Map

Help your learner put their thoughts onto paper with this book or character mind map! During or after reading a fictional book, have your child fill in the mind map about details from the book. Following the example provided, children will complete the second page of this worksheet by writing the book title or character name in the oval, then drawing their own circles as they create their mind map using words or drawings. Mind maps are an important part of the prewriting and planning process, and they're also a great way to boost fiction comprehension skills in third, fourth, and fifth graders.
