Back to School Creative Writing Prompt #1: A Memorable Music Class

If you could have music class with any famous musician, who would it be? Write about it with this creative writing prompt! Students are asked to write a brief story about a famous musician joining their choir class on the first day of school. The story should include interesting characters, a plot with a clear conflict and resolution, and descriptive language that establishes context, characters, and setting. 

This back-to-school worksheet is a great way to ease fourth through eighth graders back into writing after their break. Students have the opportunity to think creatively while practicing writing skills and thinking about story elements.
