Worksheet

Area of Quarter Circles #2

Find the area of quarter circles based only on the radius in this tricky geometry worksheet! Each of these eight problems asks students to calculate the area of a quarter circle using a modified area of a circle formula. The introduction for the worksheet explains that the area of a quarter circle is equal to a fourth of the area of a circle, so dividing the result of an area of a circle formula will output the area of its quarter circle.

This worksheet is intended for seventh graders learning about the area of a circle formula. The process of modifying and applying the formula to find the area of a quarter circle can help students better understand circles and sectors. It can also prepare students to solve problems with circles and sectors in real life!
