Antonyms in Context

What is the opposite of harsh? What about confident or timid? Test your knowledge of antonyms with this vocabulary worksheet! Students will read 10 sets of sentences that each contains a pair of antonyms. They will need to underline the antonym of the word that has been bolded. Then, students can use the antonyms they identified to reveal the answer to a riddle.

This worksheet is perfect for helping fifth and sixth graders expand their vocabulary and solidify their understanding of antonyms. Learners will need to use context clues in the sentences to identify the meaning of unfamiliar words and find the antonyms.

Keep up the practice with Match the Antonyms: Level 3.
