Awesome Anatomy: Follow Your Heart

Know your anatomy by heart! Fifth-grade students explore blood circulation in the heart with this anatomy worksheet that doubles as a coloring page.

Students get to know the inner workings of the heart by examining blood flow into and out of this complex muscle. Arrows show how blood carrying oxygen from the lungs (“R”) and blood without oxygen (“B”) flows throughout the heart. By coloring the areas marked “R” red and the areas marked “B” blue, fifth graders can visualize the heart's circulation patterns.
