All About Misty Copeland

Use this reading and writing worksheet to help second and third graders learn all about Misty Copeland, the first African American woman to become a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre. Children will read a short biography about the challenges Misty overcame and her subsequent accomplishments, and then answer nonfiction comprehension questions about the text. Students will also reference a map of the United States as they mark the places where this inspiring person has lived.
