Worksheet
Adding Tens and Ones #3
Use your knowledge of place value to solve addition problems! First and second graders will be given six addition sentences, each involving two-digit addends. Using the place value charts, students will break each addend into tens and ones in order to add them and find the sum. Learners will not have to regroup numbers to solve these problems.
Utilizing place value charts to add is a great strategy for young mathematicians. Not only does it keep their work organized, but it reinforces place value knowledge and can prepare students for adding larger numbers and solving problems that require regrouping.
