Adding Positive and Negative Decimals #2

Add up your existing knowledge of decimals, positives and negatives, and addition in this helpful worksheet! Students will solve each of these 20 problems by adding two decimal numbers to find the sum. This worksheet includes positive and negative decimals to the thousandths place. Remember that adding a negative number is the same as subtracting its opposite!

This worksheet was designed for seventh graders working on their abilities with rational number operations. Learners will have to draw on different skills, including what they’ve learned about decimals and operations with positives, negatives, and opposites of numbers. Mastery of rational number addition can set students up to learn more difficult skills, such as rational number multiplication.
