Learning Objectives
Students will be able to develop awareness of numerals by counting the petals on a flower.
Introduction
(5 minutes)- Explain to your class that they will be going on an outdoor scavenger hunt for flowers. Instruct them to collect their own flowers to create beautiful art and count petals.
- Ask for a volunteer to explain what a flower is. Explain that a petal is like a colored leaf on a flower.
- Pass out grocery bags to each student, and head outside.
