Grab & Go Sentences!
It’s time to make some sentences! In this lesson, students will review parts of speech and simple vs. complex sentences. They will then use their knowledge to create word grab bags to use when forming sentences.

Introduction
(5 minutes)- Write the following sentences on the board: “The brown dog ran quickly,” and “I’ll go to the store after I get out of school.”
- Ask, “What parts of speech do you notice in these sentences?” Have students come up and circle any nouns, adjectives, adverbs, or verbs.
