Introduction

(5 minutes)
  • Hold up a nonfiction book.
  • Ask the students to look closely at the cover of the book.
  • Call on a volunteer to share the title and author of the book.
  • Remind students that the title tells us what the book is about, and the author tells us who wrote the book.
  • Remind students that nonfiction books give us facts, or real information, about a topic.
