"Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects."

Our Take: Kindergarteners should become quite adept at counting from 1 to 20. When given a specific number within this range, they should count out that number of objects. They should also count objects in a set group, regardless of whether these objects are arranged in an organized or scattered configuration. Opportunities abound for this age group to practice this skill, as they can count out objects in the classroom, as well as when exploring the world around them.

These games can help students practice this Common Core State Standards skill.
