Activity
Four-Leaf Clover Picture
Help your child create a handprint picture of a four-leaf clover to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It's thought that whoever finds a four-leaf clover will enjoy especially good luck!
What You Need:
- Construction paper (white and green)
- Green tempera paint
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Glue stick
What You Do:
- Have your child draw and cut out a giant four-leaf clover shape from the white construction paper. Try to encourage her to make the shape take up as much of the paper as possible.
- Help her paint one of the palms of her hands with green tempera paint. Then encourage her to press it into one corner of her four-leaf clover, with the fingers pointing outwards, to create one leaf of the clover. Repeat this action to create the rest of the clover leaves. Allow the paint time to dry.
- She can now finish the project by gluing her handprint four-leaf clover on the piece of green construction paper.
