Pasta Collage

What You Need:

• Piece of cardstock
• Pencil
• Variety of dried pasta
• Poster paints
• Paintbrush
• Glue
• Glitter (optional)

What You Do:

1. Have your child sketch a large, single flower onto the cardstock. Some flowers have more detailed petals than others—you can experiment to find the best one!
2. Choose the types of pasta that best suit the flower, depending on their shapes. For example, penne are great for pointy petals, shells are good for roses, and long noodles are great for blades of grass.
3. Have your child mix up some pastel colors and paint the pasta. Let them dry completely.
4. Have your child fill in the design with the pasta pieces, following the outline of the flower sketch. Glue each piece in place.
5. For a mosaic effect, break lasagna noodles into pieces and fit them into the design.
6. Add glitter at the end if you want some sparkle!
