Passover Food List
Preparing for Passover is no easy task. And whether or not you're hosting the Seder dinner, usually there are several family members and friends who might join you for your meals throughout the eight days. This means a very intricate grocery list and a lot of planning. Your child can help you with your Passover food list by creating both a written and a visual list. This will encourage her to practice her handwriting and improve her addition skills, just in time for the holiday!

Subjects:
Thank you for your input.
What You Need:
- White paper (several pieces)
- Pencil
- Colored pencils
- Help from a parent who is cooking
What You Do:
- Discuss with your child the menu you're assembling for the eight days of Passover.
- Begin by having her draw the Seder table at the bottom of one of the pieces of the paper. Above it, have her list and draw a picture of the different foods that will be served during the Passover Seder.
- Now, have her write down the different foods you will be eating during Passover.
- Encourage her to draw the different ingredients that will need to be purchased to make these dishes. If you need 20 eggs, she would draw 20 eggs next to the word "egg."
- Remind her that there should be not be any chametz on the list. Chametz is anything that is made with one of five types of grain (barley, wheat, rye, spelt, and oats) combined with water and left to stand for more than 18 minutes.
- Have her continue writing and drawing until all groceries are listed and drawn out.
- Now she should double check that the number of food items and the ingredients required to make the dishes all add up.
- Ask her to join you at the grocery store to help find everything on your list.
