Lucky Coins

What You Need:

• Yellow construction paper
• Black construction paper
• White poster board
• Pen
• Gold glitter glue
• Glue
• Scissors

What You Do:

1. Help your child cut out a large “U” shape from the black construction paper to create a pot. 
2. Have her cut about ten circles from yellow construction paper to create the coins. They should be big enough that she has some room to write on them.
3. Glue the black pot onto the bottom half of the white poster board. 
4. Now, have her glue the coins on and above the black pot.
5. On each of the yellow coins your child should write a word or phrase that captures the essense of a time when she felt lucky or a reason why she considers herself lucky.
6. Have her add the finishing touch to the coins by outlining them with gold glitter glue. While you're finishing up the project, talk to her about the history of St. Patrick's Day. 
7. Proudly hang your child's lucky pot of gold where everyone can see it!
