Endangered Animals Game

What You Need:

• Internet access
• Paper
• Pencil
• 3 or more players

What You Do:

1. Research at least 10 different endangered animals. Try visiting Animal Planet's Endangered Species guide to learn more about endangered species around the world, such as:
   • Tiger
   • Polar Bear
   • Pacific Walrus
   • Magellanic Penguin
   • Leatherback Turtle
   • Bluefin Tuna
   • Mountain Gorilla
   • Monarch Butterfly
   • Javan Rhinoceros
   • Giant Panda
2. Have your child take a few notes on each animal researched.
3. After completing the research, gather the family together and help her share what she learned with everyone.
4. Now play the questions game. Pick a player to go first, then instruct him to secretly pick an animal from the endangered species list and write it down without showing it to anyone.
5. Start the questions. Encourage everyone to try to guess the animal chosen by asking yes or no questions about the animal's habitat, physical features, behavior, or whatever else might help them figure out the mystery animal.
6. Once a player thinks he knows the animal, he can ask if his guess is correct. If he guesses right, he wins the round. If he guesses incorrectly, however, he's out for the rest of the round. Each player gets only one chance per round to guess the animal.
7. Play several rounds of this game using all the animals on your list. Rotate who guesses and who answers the yes or no questions. This game is sure to be a great learning experience for the whole family!
