Bullseye Game

What You Need:

• Red construction paper
• Purple construction paper
• Pencil
• Marker
• Scissors
• Black marker
• 10 small rocks
• Bag
• Paper

What You Do:

1. Have your child draw a red circle -- roughly three inches in diameter on a sheet of red construction paper.
2. Let her cut it out.
3. Place the red circle on the purple construction paper. Have your child draw a circle on the purple paper that is about two inches wider on each side than the red circle.
4. Let her cut it out.
5. Continue this pattern until your child has three red circles and two purple circles.
6. Stack the circles on top of one another with the largest circle on the bottom. Your child should now have a recognizable bullseye.
7. Help her glue the circles together.
8. Once the glue dries, have your child use a pen to write 10 in the smallest circle, 8 in the next smallest -- all the way down in multiples of two.
9. Have your child glue the completed bullseye on a large sheet of red construction paper.
10. Use a marker to number your rocks 1-10.
11. Put the rocks in the bag.
12. Let the games begin! Go first to show how the game works for your child.
13. Place the bullseye on the ground and stand a few feet back.
14. Without looking, take one stone from the bag.
15. Carefully toss it towards the bullseye.
16. Note where the stone lands. If you missed the bullseye, nothing happens. If you landed on it, add the number on the stone with the number on the bullseye. That answer is your score for that round.
17. Do not put the rock back in the bag. Set it aside.
18. Now it's your child's turn to play. Keep taking turns until there are no more rocks in the bag.
19. Invite your child's friends to play the bullseye game. To make the game longer, keep putting the rocks back in the bag -- or just make more rocks!
