Cinnamon Candy Cider

This cider is sweet and spicy, and will warm any heart! After a long day opening up Valentine's Day cards, why not curl up with a warm cup of cider? This recipe is easy, quick, and fun. All you need is a little cider, some cinnamon candies, and a cinnamon stick to stir up the goodness. This is a great treat on a cold day.

Kindergarten First Grade

What You Need:

  • Apple cider
  • Cinnamon candies
  • Cinnamon stick

What You Do:

  1. Pour some apple cider into a sauce pan and warm it over medium-low heat.
  2. Add some cinnamon candies and stir frequently. If you like things spicy, add more candies! For added fun, have your child count out a certain number of candies to help practice her counting. Ask her for three candies and see if she can count them out.
  3. When the candies have dissolved, take the cider off the heat and pour carefully into mugs. Give everyone a cinnamon stick, stir, and enjoy!
