Make Bottle Cap Magnets

What You Need:

• Bottle caps
• 1” hole punch
• Embellishments such as small charms, paper punch shapes, gems
• Craft glue
• Magnetic strips
• Decoupage finish or clear varnish (optional)

Alternative: Your child can also make bottle cap thumb tacks and pins by gluing those backings on instead of magnets.

What You Do:

1. Have your child select his own artwork or images from magazines and photographs.
2. Punch the images into 1” circles.
3. Have your child embellish the images with any charms, paper shapes, or gems that he desires.
4. Glue the 1” circles onto the bottle caps.
5. If desired, apply a layer of decoupage finish to give them a slightly more finished look
6. Have your child glue a piece of magnet to the back of the bottle cap.
