Are People Who Wear Glasses More Academically Talented?
Do people who wear glasses tend to be more academically talented? This is an experiment to look at correlation between performance and classes, keeping in mind that correlation does not necessarily equal causation.
Materials
- Test subjects: at least 50 who wear glasses at least 50 who do not wear glasses (keep the amounts equal)
- Pen/paper for notes
Procedure:
- Survey test subjects in your area or your school. Ask them two questions: a) What is their GPA (grade point average)? b) Do they wear glasses or contact lenses?
- Compare the average GPA of people who wear glasses to people who do not wear glasses. Is there a dramatic difference?
- Evaluate your results.
