Angel Card

What You Need:

• Light colored 9” x 12”construction paper
• White and dark colored tissue paper
• Yarn
• White and metallic pipe cleaner
• Pom-poms
• Acrylic gems
• Gold sequins
• Metallic glitter glue
• Pencil
• Tan felt
• Markers

What You Do:

1. Have your child fold a piece of light blue construction paper in half and lay it on the table.
2. Fold the rectangle of white tissue paper in half lengthwise. Draw an angel wing in pencil and cut it out, making sure to not cut the fold line. Unfold the tissue to expose two wings.
3. Now your child can glue the wings about a third of the way down on the card. These will help form the shoulders for your fairy or angel.
4. Cut out a long triangle dress from the dark blue tissue paper and glue it on top of the wings.
5. Cut a white pipe cleaner to fit the bottom edge of the dress and glue it in place.
6. Cut an oval out of the felt for the head and glue it at the top of the blue triangle.
7. Cut the yarn into short strips and glue it down on either side of the head for the hair.
8. For an angel, cut a two inch piece of metallic pipe cleaner and make an oval out of it for the halo, then glue it above the hair.
9. Use markers to draw in details of the face.
10. Now your child can have fun decorating the card. Glue on large sequins at the neck, pom-poms to the front of the dress, and acrylic gems around the front of the card to add sparkle.
11. Use glitter glue to outline the card and to add motion lines to your flying Christmas Angel or Fairy Godmother!
